Gina Hughes

Certified Pilates Instructor · Movement Educator

Pilates instructor specializing in strength, coordination, and supportive movement education.

Gina Hughes is a highly experienced Pilates instructor and movement educator who has been teaching for more than two decades. She holds a degree in modern dance performance from the University of Oklahoma and later earned her Pilates certification.

Her background in dance gives her a deep understanding of movement, alignment, coordination, and body awareness, which continues to inform her teaching today. Gina brings a thoughtful and encouraging approach to each session, helping clients build strength, stability, and greater confidence in their bodies.

Her work draws on the principles of the Pilates Method of Contrology, supporting the body’s natural ability to strengthen, stabilize, and restore itself through breath, movement, stretch, and coordination.

Gina works with a wide range of clients, from individuals seeking greater strength and mobility to those looking for supportive guidance as they improve posture, recover from injury, or develop greater ease in movement.

Gina has been teaching at Boulder Bodyworks since 2001.

“Boulder Bodyworks is hands down the best Pilates studio. I have been seeing Gina for six years. She has the intuition to work on exactly what I need. I feel stronger, taller, and more put together after every session with her. We can work on more isolated sessions if a part of my body needs attention, or sessions that leave me wonderfully sore for days. I have seen Gina postpartum, through another pregnancy, and now I feel stronger than ever before.”
