Pilates at Boulder Bodyworks is taught with individualized attention and a deep understanding of the body’s natural mechanics and movement patterns. Founded in 1999, Boulder Bodyworks has supported the Boulder community with movement instruction and hands-on care for more than 25 years.
Through thoughtful teaching and individualized support, clients develop strength, stability, awareness, and greater ease in daily movement. Pilates can help relieve back pain, improve posture, deepen awareness of breath and alignment, and build the strength and support needed for healthier, more efficient movement.
Pilates is more than a series of exercises. Joseph Pilates called his method Contrology, describing it as the coordination of body, mind, and breath.
Pilates instructors at Boulder Bodyworks bring decades of teaching experience together with a strong foundation in biomechanics, rehabilitation, and movement education. At Boulder Bodyworks, Pilates is part of a larger philosophy that values movement education alongside skilled hands-on care. Pilates at Boulder Bodyworks welcomes people of all ages and abilities. Many clients in their forties, fifties, sixties, and beyond come to Pilates to support balance, bone health, posture, and the strength needed to continue doing the activities they love.

Pilates Private Sessions
Private sessions offer a more individualized way to explore Pilates. They allow the teacher to observe your posture, breathing, and the way your body moves, and tailor the work to your specific needs. This focused setting helps clients deepen awareness, improve alignment, and develop strength and stability with greater ease.
Through thoughtful instruction and steady support, clients develop a clearer understanding of posture, breathing, and movement while gaining strength, stability, and greater ease. This work can support healthier alignment, improved balance, and more efficient movement in daily life.
Private Pilates sessions are available as single sessions, 5-session packages, and 10-session packages. The Intro to Pilates 3-Session Package provides a thoughtful introduction to the method and equipment while laying the groundwork for future private sessions or small group classes.
Small Group Pilates Classes
Small group classes at Boulder Bodyworks offer close attention in a supportive setting, with only five to six participants per class. Because the classes are intentionally small, teachers are able to observe each person more closely while allowing clients to work with growing independence and confidence.
For many clients, private sessions provide a natural introduction to Pilates and a thoughtful bridge into a class setting. The Intro to Pilates 3-Session Package includes three private sessions and offers an opportunity to become familiar with the method and equipment before joining a class.
Class packages are available as single classes and in 5-class and 10-class packages.
