Private Pilates Sessions and Small Group Classes

Pilates at Boulder Bodyworks

Pilates at Boulder Bodyworks is taught with careful attention and a deep understanding of how the body moves and adapts. For more than 25 years, the practice has supported the Boulder community through skilled movement instruction and hands-on care.

Through attentive teaching and steady guidance, you develop strength, stability, awareness, and greater ease in everyday movement. Pilates can help relieve back pain, improve posture, deepen awareness of breath and alignment, and build the support needed for more efficient, sustainable movement.

Instructors bring decades of teaching experience together with a strong foundation in biomechanics, rehabilitation, and movement education. Here, Pilates is part of a broader philosophy that values movement education alongside skilled hands-on care. Sessions are thoughtfully adapted to your body, your history, and your goals — whether you are new to Pilates or returning with years of experience.

You will find people of many ages and stages of life in Pilates — from those in their twenties and thirties building strength, awareness, and resilience, to those in midlife and beyond supporting balance, bone health, posture, and the strength needed to continue doing the activities they love.

Pilates Private Sessions

Private sessions offer an individualized approach to Pilates, allowing the teacher to observe your posture, breathing, and movement patterns and tailor each session specifically to you. In this focused setting, your awareness deepens, alignment improves, and strength and stability develop with clarity and precision.

Private Pilates sessions are available as single sessions, as well as 5- and 10-session packages. The Intro to Pilates 3-Session Package offers a supportive introduction to the method and equipment while laying the foundation for future private sessions or small group classes.

Small Group Pilates Classes

Small group classes are intentionally designed to provide attentive guidance in a calm, focused setting. With only five to six participants per class, you receive individualized feedback while having space to develop independence and confidence.

For many people, private sessions provide a natural introduction to Pilates and a smooth transition into a class setting. The Intro to Pilates 3-Session Package includes three private sessions and offers an opportunity to become familiar with the method and equipment before joining a class.

What Clients Say

“With many decades of classes, teachers and coaches in my life, none have compared with the excellent instruction and care I receive from the teachers at Boulder Bodyworks. All the teachers are gifted, but Tambre Rasmussen is for me a miracle teacher. She helped me recover more than 100% from a hip replacement. Three years later I am stronger and my posture is better than it has ever been. I have days now when I notice I have no pain, anywhere. Boulder Bodyworks is my treat to myself.”

— Kitty E.

“Sorting through the numerous Pilates studios in Boulder can be a challenging endeavor. What distinguishes Boulder Bodyworks for me is the noticeable care, intent, and passion exhibited by everyone in the studio. Having commenced with a 3-pack of private Pilates sessions, I have discovered comfort in the outstanding skills and kindness displayed by all the instructors. The classes accommodate various skill levels, and I feel at ease booking sessions with any of them.”

— Irene G.

“My physical therapist recommended this studio to help me gain and maintain core strength. Since I started attending regularly my back is far less sore and I move more freely. I love this place because there are no fitness gimmicks, just really knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming instructors. The space is also beautiful.”

— Rebecca S.

“I cannot say enough good things about Boulder Bodyworks. I have been going to them for years and have happily recommended them to friends who have also had great experiences. The Pilates instructors are exceptional — they really know the human body, Pilates, and how to teach people of all different abilities and limitations. The manual therapists are phenomenal as well. Everyone is super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, talented and compassionate.”
